Exchange Process
To request an exchange, please follow the steps below:
Step 1 — Raise a Request
Log in to your account or write to support@houseofmer.in within 48 hours of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Reason for exchange
- A clear unboxing/opening video (mandatory)
Once reviewed, eligible requests will be issued an Exchange Authorization.
Step 2 — Return the Product
Carefully repack the item in its original packaging, along with the Exchange Authorization slip.
- Ship the product to the address shared in your approval email
- Use a reliable courier service with tracking
For customer-initiated exchanges (such as size or preference changes), return shipping costs are to be borne by the customer.
Step 3 — Quality Check
Once received, the item will undergo a quality inspection within 5–7 business days.
- If approved, the exchange will be processed
- If not approved, the product will be returned to you, with shipping charges applicable
Step 4 — Store Credit Issuance
Upon approval, store credit equivalent to the item value will be issued to your MER account within 1–2 business days.
Store Credit — Terms
Store credit issued by MER is governed by the following:
- Acts as the full and final resolution for the exchange request
- Is non-transferable and cannot be converted into cash or bank refunds
- Must be used within 365 days from the date of issuance
- Can be redeemed against future purchases on our website
Validity & Usage
- Unused store credit will expire automatically after the validity period
- Reminder emails will be shared 90, 30, and 7 days prior to expiry
- It remains the customer's responsibility to track and utilize the balance within the validity window
Processing Timeline
Store credit is typically issued within 60–70 days from the date of claim approval, unless otherwise specified.
Additional Conditions
- Store credit may not be combined with select promotional codes or offers, unless explicitly stated
- MER reserves the right to review and amend these terms where necessary
